Inspired By Excellence & Innovation

We offer a wide range of high quality of research and development  activities.

We offer a wide range of high quality of research and development activities. The Central Research Facilities is an integrated facility for all students and researchers at KIIT-DU to carry out their research activities centrally under one umbrella. There are around 25 laboratories in the CRF complex and each laboratory is under the supervision of a designated faculty member from the Institute.

The equipment in these laboratories are used for various types of characterization including study of structure and chemical composition of surfaces and bulk materials at different length scales (sub- nanometer to millimeter), phase transitions, as well as evaluation of mechanical, electrical, magnetic, and optical properties. The available facilities for such studies on materials include state-of-the-art scanning electron microscope (SEM), Field Emission SEM (FESEM), dual beam FIB-FEG microscopes, X- ray diffractometers (XRD), X-Ray Micro-CT, Scanning Auger Nanoprobe, Atomic Force Microscope (AFM), Nano-triboindenter, Raman Spectrometer, Nuclear Magnetic Resonance(NMR), Thermal Analyzers, SQUID-VSM, Hall-effect measurement, etc.

Students from the different branches of science and engineering come here for research and experimentation, creating a vibrant cross-disciplinary atmosphere.

Vision

To translate the Vision, KIIT- DU CRF will:

  • Provide a Centralized Facility to the researchers to carry out their research activities

  • Provide state of art academic activities under Professors and supervisors experts in the specific fields

  • The facility is open to all the researchers of the university as well as other academic institutions and industries

  • Paid Option for outsiders to use the Research Facilities of the department

Mission

The aim of Central Research Facility is to provide research and development centrally for all the students of this institute. There are around 25 laboratory in the CRF complex and the lab incharges are the different faculties of KIIT. Students of different branches come here for research and experiment.

  • The objective of the Central Research Facility is to provide research and development centrally for all the researchers.

  • Maintain the highest ethical and moral standards emphasizing integrity, honesty, trustworthiness, confidentiality, professionalism and stewardship

  • Expertise in the analytical sciences and to facilitate research across the nation.

  • To engage in the analytical sciences with student community, government research labs and commercial partners.

KIIT Green

KIIT Green is a bold initiative of KIIT to control environmental pollution and to create a healthy ambiance in and around 25 sq. km. area in which different campuses of KIIT are located.

The University has drawn ambitious plan to make KIIT campus totally vehicle free. In the first phase, use of two-wheelers, both by students and staffs, has been prohibited, after putting in place an effective alternative transport arrangement. KIIT has also implemented paperless administration. Green Audit of the campus is done annually.

Besides mass plantation and limiting vehicular pollution other environmentally friendly initiatives under KIIT Green are rainwater harvesting and water management, sewerage treatment, bio-gas, solar energy, etc.
